White Widow is a medium-sized plant with compact, high-potency, all-white buds
White Widow is a medium-sized hybrid cannabis variety with very compact buds. The buds typically produce fewer orange-colored pistils than most cannabis varieties. It is the superior resin production that has made this variety so famous, it can even be seen on the large fan leaves. White Widow owes its name to its extremely high resin production and exceptionally thick white layer of trichomes.
The very white buds of our White Widow warn of the powerful effects that will follow. The effects are known for being strong and long lasting. Many smokers report that they initially experience a euphoric high that is very energizing, perfect for creative tasks. As the high builds up and you use more and more, it transitions into a more narcotic and relaxing effect. The high has a strong energetic peak at the beginning, but is then replaced by a calming feeling. Perfect for falling asleep after watching a long movie, for example.
White Widow blooms for an average of 8-9 weeks, making it one of the fastest flowering Indica-dominant hybrid cannabis plants. In good conditions, she will be ready to harvest in 8 weeks. Once the clocks are turned to 12/12, the plants will elongate greatly. During the flowering phase, the leaves get a little thinner and the branches get a little longer and thicker.
After about 3 weeks, the rate of growth/stretching will slow down considerably and stop. Simultaneously with the development of flower hairs on the smallest leaves ("sugar leaves"), resin production begins. After about a month, the buds will be completely covered in a sticky blanket of THC-rich trichomes.
White Widow is a fast-flowering variety with a good yield. This means that you will be able to get a high yield in a short period of time. This XL cannabis variety isn't the largest in size, but it produces full, long buds that can become incredibly compact. The average yield is around 400-500 g/m2. And that's in just 8 weeks! Outdoors it will thrive in drier climates, but its fast flowering period makes it suitable for growing in temperate climates too. Be careful at the end of the flowering phase, as high humidity increases the risk of bud rot and mold.
Overall, White Widow is an uncomplicated variety that requires almost no recommendations. It practically grows on its own! What we can recommend to increase the potency and stickiness of the plant is to place it in darkness for the last 3 days of the flowering phase (0 hours of light / 24 hours of darkness). At this time, the plant will tense up a bit and release more trichomes.
